About this Course

In this engaging workshop at POW, you will immerse yourself in a hands-on experience at our hand tools workshop - Make a Toolbox class. Over 2 consecutive days, our dedicated tutor will guide you through essential beginner skills with hand tools, culminating in the creation of a fantastic toolbox for you to take home or gift to a loved one.Throughout the workshop, you will learn:

How to use hand tools such as saws, planes, drills, and hammers.

Skills like measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling, gluing, sanding, and shaping timber.

Techniques like drilling, countersinking, screwing, and creating joints with a chisel and mallet.

No prior experience is necessary as our tutor will support you every step of the way. All materials and equipment will be provided, so you can simply focus on enjoying the hands-on activity and gaining new skills.By the end of the class, you'll not only have a beautiful toolbox to show for your efforts but also the confidence and knowledge to tackle your future hand tool projects.
