About this Course
Join RIBAJ for a one-hour webinar on strengthening operations and improving visibility across projects, teams, and finances.
About the event
As architecture practices take on more complex projects and manage larger teams, maintaining clear visibility over project performance, resourcing, and financial outcomes becomes increasingly challenging.
Without the right structures, systems and operational reporting in place, leadership and management teams can struggle to stay confident in the numbers, make timely decisions, and ensure projects remain commercially healthy.
Weβll explore the common operational challenges practices face as they grow in complexity, from fragmented data and delayed reporting to unclear ownership of project performance, and how better structures, systems and operational insight can create clarity and confidence across the business.
Youβll hear practical insights on how architecture practices are improving decision-making, strengthening operational control, and building practices that are not only creatively successful but operationally resilient and financially robust.
This webinar will be chaired by Eleanor Young, editor of RIBAJ
Speakers
Nigel Ostime, consultant, Hawkins\Brown and RIBA author
Drawing on over 30 yearsβ experience as a chartered architect and the series of books on project and practice management he has written for the RIBA, Nigel delivers risk management and business strategy services to architectural practices through Ostime Consulting, alongside managing project assurance at Hawkins\Brown. He has co-delivered the RIBA core CPD on the Principal Designer role for the last two years and is a regular speaker at conferences and schools of architecture. Author of RIBA Job book.
Simon Berry, CEO and founder, Fresh Projects
Simon Berry is the founder and CEO of Fresh Projects, a platform helping architecture and engineering practices improve visibility over project performance and financials. Prior to founding Fresh Projects, Simon was commercial director at WSP, where he worked with large, complex practices and saw first-hand how poor data and fragmented systems limit decision-making. He now works with firms across the UK to help operational and finance teams gain clearer insight, improve data quality, and make more confident business decisions.
