About this Course

Design and build your own model bedroom. Learn 3D drawing, construct to scale, and create a space that reflects your style.

My Space: Design Your Dream Room!
Are you fascinated by architecture and interior design? Have you ever dreamed of creating your very own space?

Join My Space, a hands-on project where you’ll design and build a model bedroom from scratch! First, you’ll bring your ideas to life using 3D isometric drawing techniques. Then, you’ll construct your model to scale, build furniture and decorate it in a style that reflects your personality.

Step into the shoes of an interior designer and let your imagination take shape!

Experience
Beginner - no previous experience required.

Suitability
This would suit a young person interested in architecture and interior design. They should have an interest in both drawing and model making.

Venue
Our Makerspace for young people on the 3rd floor of Holborn Library - click here for directions.

Eligibility
This project is prioritised for children in years 6-9. However, we will accept applications from Year 5 pupils from schools that we partner with in the school day, and will be in touch if extra spaces become available. Parents/Carers will need to sign up on behalf of their children.

Selection Criteria
Our tailored programmes are free and open to all young people, with a focus on improving access to creative opportunities. However, we prioritise places for those who face barriers to participation.
