Reconstructed from historical plans at a 1:150 scale, the model uses raw materials to indicate the forms and scale of the bridge. Processing the plans with CAD software, I used MDF masters to cast the stone features in jesmonite. The houses are made from beech, the same timber used in the actual wooden buildings; all elements were hand-finished. Nonsuch House, having a plaster exterior, was rendered with cast and carefully-sprayed components. Meanwhile, the current, colour, and texture of the Thames was recreated with copper patina.

The abstract forms illustrate the structure of the bridge and its buildings while also showing off the materials used. The modernist style creates interesting contrast with the nearly 800-year-old subject matter.

Using photographic references, I used CAD to reconstruct the model. A combination of pine timber, acrylic, and 3D printing was used to recreate the housing of the model. To unify the materials, spraying and wood varnish was used to recreate a wooden exterior (based on references).

As I had no effective diagrams of the cash register's interior, I designed a suitable mechanism myself, drawing inspiration from restored cash registers and cash register toys. The result was a maintainable and simple mechanism, purpose-built to enable visitor interaction and experiential learning.

I based the model off of an abstract architectural sketch by Ken Shuttleworth. To capture the etheralness, simplicity, and sleekness of the sketch, I utilised transparent elements in the structure and decoration, in combination with a monochrome spray job and subtle metal elements.

I achieved the effect with a combination of CAD processes and careful assembly. The brass tubes suspended on hand-strung taut fishing wire make up the facade of the building, suggesting an internal hollow space that its typical for many of Shuttleworth's projects. Once the MDF base was sprayed white, I represented water with aluminium and vegetation with waterjet copper.
