The outer wheel is made from CNC cut MDF, put together in layers to maintain the detail of the support struts. The buildings on the chassis are made from polystyrene foam, cut into their shapes by hand with each window individually poked into the surface. Due to the properties of the foam, the buildings and chassis are all hand painted, with an intentional gradient of greys to give the impression of shadow on the model.

This model is a 1:1 scale replica of the props used in the show. The majority of the model is made from laser cut acrylic, the patterns for which I recreated in CAD software. It also contains 3d printed elements such as the tiny gears inside the main face of the device. The symbols were achieved by printing each one onto sticker paper and cutting it to size before attaching it to its designated recess.

This is a 1:16 scale model of the Vickers Twin Turret, an experimental tank design from between the world wars. The core of the body is made from foam to keep it lightweight, then clad with acrylic. The assemblies for the wheels and tracks were designed in CAD software and 3d printed, along with the small details. I also 3d printed a master for one of the turrets, however I then moulded and cast it to maintain the identical design. The rivets were applied individually, by hand.

I specialise in hard-edge modelmaking, most often buildings and props, with occasional vehicles too. I mostly use laser cut acrylic, 3d printed components and hand cut wood to make my models. I'm interested in working in an architecture practice or a specialist model workshop.
