About this Course
Course overview
The introductory course introduces you to the core principles of architecture and spatial design. You'll explore how elements such as structure, narrative, site or location, scale, use, light, and materials shape the built environment.
Centred around the theme of 'Transform' the course begins with observational drawing and moves into research, speculative drawing, and hands-on workshops. You'll work towards developing your own design proposal focused on transforming an existing building or space.
Each day includes lectures followed by practical design and making sessions, with opportunities to present and discuss your work, receiving feedback from both peers and tutors in an inspiring learning environment.
