Laser Engraving & Signage - Beginner - 1 day - One to One

You wouldn't believe the possibilities available to you with a laser engraver. Even without cutting materials an engraver can allow you the chance to create beautiful signs, plaques, decorations and branded products. Make gifts, start a business or expand your current business. Laser engravers are more and more affordable and accessible, it may not be as expensive as you think to buy one new or second hand.

You'll be addicted to lasering with just one workshop. The options and possibilities are mind blowing!

You will spend the day designing and lasering your own pieces and we will explore a variety of materials. You don't need any prior knowledge or experience as I will take you through every step. I know you will be really impressed and proud of everything you produce, and you'll be coming away with a range of pieces. The absolute joy of lasering is that you can create quality, precision work from just an idea. The laser cutter does all the hard work for you!

The workshop involves learning to
- Use drawing software (CAD) to create designs.
- Set up and send jobs to the laser.
- Experiment with different materials and thicknesses that can be lasered.
- Post laser finishes and construction of any multi component pieces / 3D.

With this form of manufacturing getting more and more accessible you may even be scouring eBay by the end of the day!

I teach these courses using a CO2 laser and Adobe Illustrator software. The skills are transferable for other lasers and software however is it worth noting that I do not use Light Burn.

This workshop is a guaranteed one to one session so that I can tailor the workshop to your interests and needs as an individual. You can achieve so much this way. Develop skills to start a new business, take up a new hobby or craft for the joy of it…I can ensure the day progresses the way you want it to.
