Course overview
During this weekend course you will be introduced to free hand sketching and drawing in a critical way. Using both buildings and interiors you will critically explore and understand spatial qualities through the use relevant drawing concerns such as horizon line, vanishing points, and construction lines.
Group discussions of students' drawings will be the starting point for exploring and explaining the visual vocabulary employed by the design profession and to allow deeper understanding of architecture and how architects and interior designers approach their designs.
Drawing exercises will explore how spaces connect, circulation, formal issues and function.

This an introductory course aimed at both beginners and those wanting to refresh their free hand drawing skills. Beginners should be able to pick up the basics quickly.
