I then moved on to the baby snail stage. The egg was created using a balloon and fast cast resin, while the baby snail itself was sculpted from Miliput.
Finally, I constructed the base by cutting foam with a hot wire cutter to create the landscape. The mud and grass effects were produced by painting and applying model grass to achieve a realistic finish.

The project began with the development of sketch models of both the Black Pearl and the Kraken to refine the overall design and proportions. I then used Rhino 7 to digitally model the ships hull, which was subsequently 3D printed to provide a precise and accurate foundation for the build.
To add structural and decorative details, I fabricated components such as the railings, side panelling, captains cabin, decking, windows, and doors using styrene sheet and wire. This stage required careful measuring, cutting and assembly, while making the sails from wooden rods.
For the Kraken, I sculpted the face and tentacles with sculpy oven bake clay and finished with a gloss sealant to create the wet finished look along with rocky ocean waves which I added cotton from inside of a pillow to create the splashing effect.
