I designed, patterned, and sewed the entire costume. I also created the puppet mechanism for the additional arms to move in sync with my own arms through the sleeves. All fabrics and materials are sourced sustainably second hand and upcycled.

These 3 pieces all use different techniques which I learnt on a short course during my time out from university. I learnt how to assist others during their glass making and direct during my own making time. Techniques I used include; gathering glass from the furnace onto the punty, shaping methods using the jacks and a block, trailing and blobbing (molten glass onto exterior of vessel), manual hand spinning (to form plate shape), colouring glass using frit and pigment.

Although I have loved working with heavy machinery in the workshop, my art mainly consists of soft edge modelling with sculpture and fabrics. After graduating, I would love to work within the stop motion, costume or fine art practice. I have always been keen to learn a variety of skills and open to many avenues of work.
