In order for the vacform to work on cast acrylic without leaving a texture on the transparency, I needed to create a cast from fastcast and aluminium powder for the positive so that the surface wouldn't react to the heat I had to get the acrylic to at over 100C. The heat polishing was done by suspending the form over a fan to cool the bottom and keep it's shape while I melt the internal surface with a heat gun.
As for the internal electornics, to keep it inkeeping with the era specific design, I rehoused an old PDA and reprogrammed it using the 2000s compatible html formating which I had to leard form scratch. The keyboard was a portable pda keyboard from the era that I wired into the main shell.

The pole was made by silversoldering a core together and bolting aluminium pole to it, creating a passage for a bike brake cord to pass through internally, which would control the movement of the mouth which was suspended with elastic.
The body of the worm was quilted, given an armatured, and stuffed, then wrapped around the pole, stiched to the fiberglass head, and dressed in a children's shirt and blazer.
The break cord is controlled by a bike break attached half way down the pole, which when pulling and releasing the trigger open and close the mouth (cut from the head cast and given milliputt teeth.

Architecture & Structure Props & Sets Exhibition & Display1:50 scale model of an unused, uncredited concept for a bridge that would have been built over the River Avon, using copper and timber.

The Bridge was made by milling a beech core, and then creating multiple layers in CAD of the front of the bridge which would be laser cut from veneer and stuck ontop of eachother for depth and detail, contrasting the stained core underneath.
For scale refrence, I created a simple boat going down the river based on a similar one featured in the original concept art. It was also made from strained hardwood (pine) by hand carving and sawing it in a single part. The sails from heat treated copper, bent around wooden dowl.

I thrive in variety and problem solving as well as storytelling with my models, so I'd love to work at a prop company, especially one that take jobes from a varriety of types of props.
