This puppet combines traditional craft techniques with natural, tactile materials to create both structure and movement. Willow and wood form the main framework, giving the puppet strength, flexibility, and an organic handmade quality, while leather craft adds durable joints and detailed textured elements that enhance both function and character.

The use of air permeable fabric allows the puppet to move lightly and naturally, creating flowing shapes and subtle motion during performance. Together, these materials balance durability with expressiveness, reflecting an appreciation for sustainable craft, storytelling, and hands-on making.

I enjoy working with natural materials and hands-on crafts, especially wood and leather as they combine creativity with practical skill. I also love puppetry and poly sculpture but my favourite way to make is sculpture for moulding and casting.
