This is a 1:1 scale wearable prop. It was designed in CAD using Rhino3D, where it was fit to a digital scan of my body. The main components were 3D printed out of PETG, and plastic welded together. Detailed panels were designed with Rhino3D and Illustrator, allowing them to be made out of engraved acrylic paneling. The large dome is made of a high-clarity PET, which was blow-formed using a custom made former. The paint job was accomplished using a two-tone base coat of orange cellulose spray, followed by airbrushed and hand-painted acrylic detail. The power pack of the suit fits a rechargeable power bank, and powers an Arduino nano controlling the lights and fans. A separate circuit manages the passthrough audio system, which has 2 external microphones that feed directional audio into a left and right speaker embedded in the helmet. The helmet is magnetically removable from the neck up, and makes use of two 6-pin magnetic connectors to transfer power seamlessly.

Made to sit in the middle of a large circular table, this model is packed to the gills with detail. Every angle has something fun to discover, and integrated lighting makes sure the scene is set no matter the environment. As it was a prototype, it is mostly 3D printed from PETG. The surface texturing was done with a variety of acrylic pastes, and the paint job was all applied via an airbrush. The submarine's cockpit features a vac-formed clear dome and contains a very familiar looking pilot, illuminated by an internal LED. The small natural details were sculpted in Nomad Sculpt, before being 3D printed. The details are also designed to be easily moldable if more were to be necessary for a batch production run.

This model's base and main supporting structure is made primarily of acrylic. It is stacked so that air gaps are present underneath the inner platforms, where parallel LED strips illuminate the middle of the model in an animated sequence. The larger and more specialized shapes were made from 3D printed parts combined with acrylic, with a large block overhanging the front platform in an interesting way. The train station won bronze in overall composition at the 2024 AUB Modelmaking Architecture Awards Ceremony, and was awarded by Foster & Partners.

I specialize in CAD/CAM, with a particularly robust skillset in Rhino. I am well versed in all kinds of 3D printing, and enjoy using machines as part of my making process. My hand skills are also great, and I have lots of experience with painting/finishing models.
