Miniature Banquet Scene - door details

This is a 1:10 scale model of a Miniature Banquet Scene inspired by wizards, witches and magic. This is a showcase model where my aim was to show my skills in miniature making and fine detail. For this model I used MDF, acrylic, basswood, polymer clay, cellulose spray paint and hand paints. I mainly used laser cutting, sculpting and hand painting to create a professional finish.

Cake Delivery Van - for model village

This is a 1:12 scale model of a Cake Delivery Van made for a model village. This model is made from laser cut acrylic and sculpted milliput and painted with cellulose spray paint as it was important to ensure it would be suitable for outdoor use.

This is an editorial model based on the cover 'Life after 1.5 degrees' from the 'New Scientist' magazine. My intention for this model was to help tell a story through a 'before and after' depiction of a tree going through the increased temperatures of our climate, surrounded by a greenhouse to symbolise the 'greenhouse gases' that cause the increased temperature. This model would the be photographed onto the front cover of the magazine. This model is made from laser cut acrylic, a wire armature which I have sculpted on top off an of then painted to create the desired effect.

I specialise in miniatures and have a strong interest in architecture, sets and props. I use techniques such as laser cutting/ CAD design, hand cutting, sculpting and spray/hand painting. After graduating I would be very interested in going into stop motion, architecture or prop making.
