This 1:1 scale model was created by first sculpting a design of the Spriggan head using paper pulp. I then molded reclaimed fabric around this sculpture to form the base. Once the base was dry, I added sculpted thermal beads to represent the teeth. I painted the model with acrylic paint and sealed certain areas with UV polish and varnish to give it a more realistic appearance, resembling skin and the scales of a real folklore creature.

To create the Spriggan's skull, I sculpted it from clay and cast it in plaster to make a mould. I then poured polyurethane foam into the mould, setting additional thermal beads shaped like teeth within it. This completed skull was then attached to a recycled wooden frame to give it the look of a taxidermy model you might find in a museum.

This 1:1 scale model showcases the Cornish folklore creature known as the Piskie. To create this model, I constructed wire armatures that served as a base for the polymer clay used to form the Piskies. I incorporated threads from waste fabric to make their hair. The mushrooms on which the Piskies are resting were also sculpted from polymer clay.

The figures were attached to moisture-resistant MDF, which I laser cut. To complete the base, I covered the base with preserved Eco-friendly moss and added foam rocks along with insects sculpted from clay and paper. Finally, to give the model a more authentic taxidermy appearance, I enclosed it in an acrylic case. I used silicone sealant to attach laser cut acrylic panes and form the display case.
