My model is an interpretation of one of the sinuous walking elephants from Dali’s 1948 surrealist painting ‘The Elephants’.
I wanted to capture the impossibility of a massive elephant walking on incredibly delicate, elongated legs. My deliberate mix of materials enabled me to recreate some this surrealist magic in three dimensions.
The raw metal blends with the finishes of the cast parts to give drama and impact to the model as a whole.

I specialise in sculptural and character-driven model making, with a strong focus on storytelling and material exploration. I enjoy working with a variety of materials to bring ideas into physical form. This has included clay, textiles and metal, alongside their processes of sculpting, moulding and casting, welding and grinding.
After graduating, I would love to develop my skills to work in the film and TV industry and have the chance to work with professionals in prop making for film.
