About this Course
Throughout this five-day course, participants will gain hands-on experience in the hand drafting, technical drawing, and scaling skills used within professional Film and Television Art Departments. The course takes participants through the complete process of understanding and producing accurate technical drawings, from working with scale and carrying out measured surveys to creating plans, elevations, and a simple three-dimensional scale model.
Participants will develop confidence in reading and interpreting existing set and construction drawings and will learn the drawing conventions, terminology, and presentation standards used to communicate design information clearly between Art Departments, construction teams, scenic departments, props, set decoration, and other areas of production.
